Deficit funding

This is the sort of  simply stupid ignorant government idea some leaders use to solve problems . Using our taxes to plug holes when the job really requires understanding the reason holes appeared in the ship  .
This reactive stuff is the sort of non decision making that will send our Shires and countries broke .

1. Correct the disadvantage by paying poor decision makers more . 
2. Put more sand into our eroding beaches . 
3. You can add your own - please do .

You always know when the State Government feel its losing control - they want to have more tenticles operating in rural areas . Create a new Authority - A Great Ocean Road Authority.
Such smart arses don't even realise that the greatest evil( big government?)  is done in the name of the best intention - Don't YOU be sucked in !!
High cost benefit decisions on environment involve understanding how nature does its own repair:  and provides us with beautiful beaches and beach ridges .
With this in mind , Over twenty years ago, I advised Colac Otway Shire to acquire several houses near the north foreshore and redirect drainge to the natural swale( including flood water) .

Was that too hard for them ?It still can be and should be done.  The only hard things some people  understand about erosion are rocks and they don't understand their  place at all because now Apollo bay northshore beaches are full of them -moved and broken ones ---it  and will continue to be . Getting a big picture solution requires sa big picture view - a cooperative view
Just having a new Great Ocean Road Authority will not ensure that - if history is any guide newpowergroups will only increase the paper trail and decrease the application of on ground persons making decisions that work on the ground where the parties meet .

Much more efficient than  deficit funding new powerbrokers .
